Scholastic Book Fair— Oct. 20-23

The Scholastic Book Fair is coming back to West View this month with hot new titles (Diary of a Wimpy Kid, anyone?) and plenty of our favorite characters!

Students will visit the book fair on Monday 10/20 to browse the titles and make a wish list. Students who bring their iPads home will take photos of items (and their price tags) and students whose iPads stay at school will be given a “wish list receipt” with 2 items they pick. This should help give an idea of what they’re looking to buy and help with those book fair budget conversations. We’re also bringing back the lucky pencils for share the fair- when shoppers round up to the nearest dollar, they’ll be able to pick from our pencil box and if they get one with a colored tip they’ll win a poster!

Students will have an opportunity to shop at the book fair with their class on Tuesday 10/21 and at family shopping afterschool on Wednesday 10/22. We will wrap up the week with a last chance shopping window on Thursday morning before the fair gets packed up and sent back to Scholastic.
